This treatment uses bi-polar RF energy alongside minimally invasive micro-needles to facilitate effective, non-surgical skin tightening with little downtime. What is PRP?

PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, has been in use for years to help speed recovery from sports injuries, as it helps wounds heal faster by encouraging the growth of new tissue. When used in conjunction with microneedling for cosmetic purposes, PRP helps to promote collagen production and kick-start the skin’s wound-healing capabilities, resulting in new, healthy skin tissue that looks smoother and younger. PRP enhances facial volume, plumps and fills in fine lines and wrinkles and can be successfully utilized in the delicate areas around the eyes and mouth where dermal fillers, lasers and neurotoxins many not be as effective. It also works to prevent the future formation of wrinkles and fine lines.

PRP is created using the patient’s own blood, so there is no risk of an allergic or adverse reaction. A small vial of blood is drawn, then a centrifuge is used to separate the red blood cells from the platelets. The platelet-rich plasma is then refined and is used on the skin. We call this, “liquid gold”. It is especially effective with microneedling because the tiny channels created by the micro-needles allow the PRP to reach the dermis, thus allowing for more efficient absorption and better results.

What to Expect

Improvement in skin texture and tone is noticeable within 3 weeks. Full collagen regeneration requires 3 months. Topical skin care will enhance these results. PRP provides long lasting results and the rejuvenating effects can last anywhere from 9 months to 2 years with maintenance treatments to further increase the longevity of PRP’s treatment benefits. PRP treatments can be used on all skin types and tones. Minimal swelling, bruising and redness for the initial 12 to 24 hours is expected.
